Who we are

Jauro Interfaith Shades foundation (JISF) is a Non-governmental organization, non-partisan and a nonprofit which is solely based on bridging interfaith gaps. It is a beacon of hope for forcibly displaced persons.

About nine years now, JISF has been rendering help to the IDPs whose towns and villages became hostile due to the Boko Haram saga that broke out in the year 2009, displacing about 2.3million people from their homes (ref. Unicef).

Responsibly drive and encourage people to work and create a peaceful society.

JISF aims to bridge the gap between different religions which each have a unique belief system, also to peacefully create a community where different faiths cohabit. JISFs purpose is mainly to render care to the unsusceptible people, displaced people, widows and orphans, irrespective of their religion.

JISF in line with the best practice in cooperate governance body has an advisory body named Jauro Interfaith Shades Foundation Board (JISFB) nominated by reputable and prominent personalities who are to serve on Jauro Interfaith Shades Foundation Board (JISFB).

Our Mission

JISF aspires to create a community where people from the grassroots, local and national level work towards peace building. In diversity of culture, religion, socioeconomic status, political ideology, JISF’s vision is to responsibly drive and encourage people to work and create a peaceful society. JISF’s mandates is to promote a better healthcare, educational reintegration, food security and livelihood, sustainable agriculture as well as creation of safe space for widows and orphans.
